CAREER SUMMARY
I have been a practitioner of the visual arts for all my adult life and have spent the last 20 years working as both graphic designer/illustrator and the last 6 years working as a tertiary educator in graphic design, media, arts, and research/ writing. This built-in expertise has allowed me to provide the students with real life experiences, strategies, and first-hand knowledge into de world of art, media, graphic design, illustration, and game design. It is this professional experience and enthusiasm for creative production coupled with my graphic design knowledge that I bring to the classroom; ensuring I create relevant real-world learning experiences to engage and motivate students. I have also developed skills in the application of digital media to a range of art techniques. I recognize the importance of bringing technology to the classroom, both in teaching and learning and sharing my skills with my colleagues.

Completed one week and four-week practice placements
- Taught lessons in Photography, Media, and Art for year 7-12 students
- Created Photoshop exercises that were able to engage students, in several cases my exercises were the students first experience with advance design and image modification.
- Worked alongside Education Assistant for special needs students.
- Planned and implemented lesson plans using different delivery platforms to engage all learning styles by using a variety of audio and visual aids.
Professional practice – Artist in residence – 2014 – Mount Lawley Senior High School
- Completed a 25-hour artist is residence program with art students from year’s 9 to 11. This project involved working with visual arts students from Years 9 to 11 to complete “doodling in MT high” a massive mural where students draw/paint/scribble filling up the blanks from a black and white design, building a composition with their ideas and stories.
